How's it going!-First,I would like to thank the shit
out of you guys for all the catalogues---an incredible
help.Second-I'm very concerned about these Korean
boxed Brave guys-why are we seeing so many of them all of a sudden? I am trying to find out the manufacturing history of the brave robots--I have the might gaine series in it's intirety-in the sealed origonal
boxes(at least the were sealed before I got my grubby
american hands on them)-on all of them it says:made in
korea--???!!!!!!????----now my friend has the Goldran
series---these say made in taiwan!!!!????????(also
origanal boxed guys) My paranoia has given me this
theory:Maybe for the first 5years the used a korean
factory to manufacture these first robots(cost cutting
reasons?)then maybe with Goldran in 95 they switched
to the taiwan maufacturer for some other buisness
reason--I don't know just write me back if you know
anything about this(I've also seen these korean boxed
guys& they are the exact same thing [golran
ambulance,mic sounders,fighbird)THanks! Jason Schooling

Hi Jason. Glad you enjoy our Brave shrine. I'm afraid I don't know where the individual toys were manufactured. I can tell you the Korean releases were manufactured in Korea by Sonokong under license from Takara. I don't recall where the Japanese releases were manufactured, but I would not be surprised if it was China or Taiwan. Very few Japanese toys are actually manufactured there these days. Anyway, my assumption is that you have the Korean releases of Might Gaine (which were all over eBay recently) seeing as Might Gaine wasn't shown all that long ago in Korea, and the toys came out there fairly recently. The Goldran toys made in Taiwan were probably the Japanese releases.

I had Hellbunny check her Sonokong Fighbird STD and it was manufactured in Korea just like the dragon brothers from Might Gaine that I used to have.

It's easy to tell the Korean releases from the Japanese ones... they have Korean writing on them, which is rounder and has more circles than Japanese. Look at our Korean Brave catalog scans for examples.
