Yeah, I know we haven't updated in forever. Yeah, I know the domain was down for a week. Blame one on senior year of university, the other on our hosts fucking up and not renewing the domain. Meanwhile, the mighty simian wonder Monkey is working on a new design for MFO. In the meantime, here's some mail:

Hello. I am a fellow fan of the ExoSquad TV show that came on a while back. I watched it during my preteen years and I have a lot of their toys. I saw the Tech Wars toys at a toy store in Hanes Mall and I immediately recognized the design. Anyway, I looked at the copyright on the toys and noticed it said 2001. Since these toys are rather recent, do you know if there is a Tech Wars cartoon that is shown on TV? If so, do you know what TV network and what time? I am in Lexington, NC. Thanks!

Sorry to disappoint you, but there is no Tech Wars cartoon. The Tech Wars toys are part of a recent wave of toys from RE:Play toys, a division of Playmates which reissues old Playmates toys. Other examples of RE:Play toys are the new Skeleton Warriors and Ronin Warriors. While those toys have been reissued as is, the Exo-Squad toys have become Tech Wars probably for licensing reasons. I've seen the Tech Wars toys on clearance lately, so get them while you can! There are two waves of them, the original set and the newer (but well over a year old) arctic variations. Hit your local Kaybee and finish your collection! (Oh yeah, I think all the RE:Play toys are Kaybee exclusive.)
