Merry Day In Which Augustus Was Still Caesar And Liked To Have Sex With Little Boys And Also A Boy Was Born In Bethlehem, But Mostly It Was About Pedophilia. Day. In honor of that day, here's a picture of the Augustus Tree.

Also, here is a gift for the ladies.

As you can see, I've updated Masterforce.org with a new article! Yay! Took me long enough, huh? Enjoy.

In other news, I got a gift card for Best Buy as an (early) Christmas present yesterday, so I immediately spent it on X-Men Legends and Robotech: Invasion for PS2. Both are pretty good, and both not exactly what I expected.

X-Men Legends is kind of a weird crossbreed of Gauntlet (you know, the 3D arcade version, not the awesome old 2D version) and the badass old X-Men arcade machine. With some RPG shit thrown in to attract the Final Fantasy crowd. I approve. The only thing weird is the overhead camera. Most of the time it's fine, but sometimes it gets a little weird and dizzying. Actually, that's only in one player mode. In two player mode I had a fuck of a time trying to keep track of which guy I was controlling. Confusing! I'm not sure if there's a better way to handle it. Maybe I'll get used to it in time. Anyhow, some true nerds worked on this game, because it knows some mighty obscure details. In the trivia game in the X-mansion, I only got one wrong, and that was because I was thinking Magneto Protocols and not Xavier Protocols, but it asked some obscure fucking questions. Do YOU know the name of the lame beat poet that Iceman and Beast would take their girlfriends to see in the 60's? No? FOR SHAME. Oh yes, and good show in getting some of the actors from the movie to do the voice overs, Activision, especially with Jean Luc Picard as Professor Xavier.

Speaking of voice overs, let's talk Robotech: Invasion. I was expecting a straight forward kill-em-all first person shooter, along the lines of Doom with Invid instead of hellspawn. The demo that came with the Xbox magazine gave me the same imperssion, except with fun motorcycle shit thrown in for good measure. It turns out the game is more along the lines of Half-Life, with all kinds of story stuff going on. The one thing that I really don't like is that when you're in "enclosed areas" you can't transform your Cyclone to motorcycle mode. Look assholes, I don't care if there's not enough room to maneuver. I want to transform into a fucking motorcycle. Grr. Other than that (and the fact that it took me 5 tries to escape from an exploding Invid hive because I didn't realize there was a counter timing down), I'm really enjoying the game so far. Fuck what you've heard on lesser websites: this game is 100% better than the thoroughly mediocre Robotech: Battlecry. No, you can't fly Alphas, asshole, and no I don't care. If you actually watch Mospeada or its corresponding Robotech version, you will notice that it's mostly about the fucking motorcycles! And (many of) the people who created Mospeada went on to create Megazone 23 and Bubblegum Crisis, with even more motorcycle/robot action! Jesus, you guys. Last thoughts: It's lots of fun cracking them space grabs and watching green blood goosh out and then stealing their Protoculture, and it rules jetting around on the Cyclone, and the girl who plays the hilariously named Guppy is a voice actress from Rugrats. If you like Mospeada at all, buy this game already, you dumbass.

Yay! I fixed it. Okay, the layout is fixed, the buttons all work again, and everything should be fine. I'm gonna do a quick once over to make sure the articles are all working right still, and then I will write the first new article in far too long. Wish me luck.

P.S. I got to eat tamales today! Yay!

Boy. That took a long time. Okay, we finally have the masterforce.org domain in the right place. As you can see, though, the layout is slightly messed up. That's because I backed up the index in three places, but I can't access any of them right now. Smart! Because I'm doing the family Christmas meltdown thing, I can't fix MFO right, even though I've been waiting like three months to get everything sorted out. So yeah. I'll be putting up some damn articles finally, though. I spent all day scanning crazy Japanese magazines and stuff.
